Excelsior,
MN – The 12th annual Excelsior Christkindlsmarkt will take place during the
Thanksgiving weekend. This three-day event draws people
from all over the Midwest and is modeled after the traditional German, open-air
Christmas markets. The festival features German holiday
foods, decor, gifts, and entertainment for the entire family and is festively
decorated for Christmas. It is free and open to the public.
The event will take place on East Drive adjacent to the Excelsior Brewing in Downtown Excelsior on Friday, Nov. 24th (10am-7pm), Saturday, Nov.25th (10am-7pm) and Sunday, Nov 26th (11am-4pm).
The event consistently falls on Small Business Saturday and supports a variety of small businesses as part of the event and in the town of Excelsior. A new addition this year is Belinda Jensen, Bel the Weather Girl, reading her children’s’ books, meeting and greeting families, doing experiments and answering questions on Friday and Saturday morning. Also new is “Timber Bay” as a festival partner managing the Christmas tree sales lot located at the entrance.
